4 steps
Open Google Chrome on a computer. It is the only browser where every feature works, including captions.
Go to pre-event-check.events.ringcentral.com (opens in a new tab).
Click Let's go.
Follow each screen until you reach Results.
Wear headphones. You hear more clearly, and they stop echo if you go on screen.
Join from a phone or tablet
The free app, for when you are away from a computer.
3 steps
Get the free RingCentral Events app from the App Store or Google Play.
Open the app and log in with the email address on your ticket.
Tap Schedule at the bottom to see what is on.
Find Home, Schedule and Explore along the bottom.
The app has no Networking and no screen sharing. Use a computer for those.
On the day
Get in
One click from your email. No password.
3 steps
Open Google Chrome on your computer.
Open your confirmation email from RingCentral Events. Search your inbox and spam for “RingCentral Events”.
Click your join link in the email. It takes you straight in, with no password.
Lost the email? Go to events.ringcentral.com/sign_in (opens in a new tab). Type the email address on your ticket, then the one-time code RingCentral sends you.
Doors open at 10:00 Alberta time on Wednesday 7 October. Before then you see a waiting room. That is normal.
Find your way around
Five areas on the left, one panel on the right.
3 steps
Look at the menu on the left. It lists the areas below.
Click an area to go there.
Use the panel on the right for Chat, Polls, People and Q&A.
- Reception
- The front door. The welcome message, the schedule and the speakers.
- Stage
- The Main Stage. Keynotes and panels. You watch, and you ask in Q&A.
- Sessions
- Two rooms. In the Concurrent room, some talks run at the same time as the Main Stage. You can ask to come on screen. The Drop-in lounge is open all through summit hours. Anyone can turn on a camera and talk. It is not recorded.
- Networking
- Meet people one at a time, by message or short video chat. Computer only.
- Replay
- Recordings of past sessions.
Build your agenda
Bookmark sessions and get a reminder.
3 steps
Click Schedule in the top bar.
Click the Bookmark icon beside a session.
Click My Agenda on the right to see your list.
You get a reminder when a bookmarked session is about to start.
Chat and polls
Say hello and vote, from the panel on the right.

Click Event, then Chat, in the panel on the right.
Type in Type a message... and press Enter.
Click Polls when a poll appears.
Pick your answer. You get one vote per poll.
The Event chat is for everyone. The Stage and each Session room also have their own chat.
Ask a question
Put it to the speakers, or lift someone else's.
5 steps
Click Q&A in the panel on the right.
Click Ask a question at the bottom.
Type your question in Your question.
Click Ask.
Click the Thumbs up icon under any question you want answered too.
Questions with more thumbs rise to the top.
Turn on Ask anonymously before you click Ask to hide your name.
Speak in a Session room
Come on screen in the Concurrent room or the Drop-in lounge.

Click Sessions in the menu on the left, then click the Concurrent room or the Drop-in lounge.
Click Join Stage at the top right of the room.
Click Allow when Chrome asks for your camera and microphone.
Wait a moment. In the Concurrent room, a host lets you in.
Click the Hand icon in the bottom toolbar to raise your hand.
Click Stop sharing Audio and Video to step off screen. You stay in the room.
You can speak with audio only. Click the camera icon in the bottom toolbar to turn your video off.
The Drop-in lounge is not recorded. If you see Recording at the top of a room and you go on screen, you will be in the replay.
Join a breakout group
A host splits the room. You move on your own.
3 steps
Wait while the Breakouts are starting! notice counts down from 10 seconds.
Click Join Breakout to go straight away. Talk with your small group.
Click Return to main room to go back early.
Turn on captions
Live captions, and menus in your language.
4 steps
Click CC at the top right of the Stage or a Session room, or press C.
Read the captions under the video.
Click your Profile icon at the top right to change the screen language.
Choose a language. This changes the menus only.
To read captions in another language, click CC and pick a language.
Captions work in Chrome on a computer. They listen for English speech. Captions are made by AI, so expect a few mistakes.

Meet people
Message someone
Find a person and write to them.
4 steps
Click Networking in the menu on the left.
Type a name, job or interest in Search people.
Click Send a Message beside the person.
Type your message on the right and press Enter.
The same panel has Invite to video call and Schedule a meeting.
Try Speed Networking
Short, timed video chats with one person at a time.
5 steps
Click Networking in the menu on the left.
Click Join now on the Speed Networking card.
Click Join.
Talk with the person you meet until the timer ends.
Click Connect to swap contact details.
You need a computer with a camera and microphone to start Speed Networking.
Help and after
Fix a problem
Three quick fixes first, then sound, camera and video.
4 fixes
Try these first, in order
Refresh the page.
Open a private window with Ctrl+Shift+N, then click your join link again.
Switch to Google Chrome and update it.
No sound
Right-click the browser tab and choose Unmute site.
Turn up the volume on your computer.
Check your headphones are plugged in.
Camera or microphone not working
Close any other video app, such as Zoom or Teams.
Click the icon left of the web address and allow Camera and Microphone.
Refresh the page.
Video freezes
Move closer to your Wi-Fi, or plug in a cable.
Turn off any VPN.
Try from home. Work networks can block the summit.
On a Mac, open a private window with Command+Shift+N.
Watch replays
Catch what you missed. Your ticket sets how long.

Click your join link again.
Click Replay in the menu on the left.
Click a filter at the top to pick a room or a day.
Click a recording to watch it.

- We record sessions for the ticket holders' replay library, unless the speaker has told us not to. Spotlight conversations also stream free on YouTube and stay public there.
