The summit · 6–10 October 2026

Most of us can do less for ourselves than our grandparents could.

The work that once happened nearby now runs through distant systems most of us cannot see into.

Thirty seconds on what the week feels like. Sound is off until you turn it on.

The problem

One generation ago, most needs were met nearby.

Food, repairs, building, care, a job, a loan. Most of it now comes from far away, through systems nobody can see into.

In+ter asks one practical question. How much can a household, a street or a town take back?

Was the trade a mistake?

No. It bought cheaper goods and longer lives. It also moved capability out of ordinary hands, and most of us noticed only when something in the chain stopped working.

What interdependence means here

The ordinary arrangement in between.

Interdependence is people who need each other, know it, and organise for it. A neighbour who fixes what you cannot. A neighbour you trust who can care for your kids at short notice.

Not growing your own wheat. A say in who meets your needs.

Who this is for

Every arrangement above is somebody choosing to be depended on, and then turning up. In+ter is for people willing to be depended on.

Still deciding? Voting, voices and the fifteen public spotlight streams are free.

Pillar 01 · Tuesday 6 October

Sovereignty. Choose how you live.

And guard your neighbour's right to do the same. One pillar leads each day, with twelve topics to vote on.

Tuesday 6 October

Pillar 02 · Wednesday 7 October

Belonging. Stay in the room.

The relationships that let us speak plainly, help each other, and feel less alone.

Wednesday 7 October

Pillar 03 · Thursday 8 October

Vitality. Health before the clinic.

Care for your body, mind and spirit: the energy everything else runs on.

Thursday 8 October

Pillar 04 · Friday 9 October

Regeneration. Leave the land more alive.

Than you found it, and it will provide. Land, water, and who pays for the cleanup.

Friday 9 October

Pillar 05 · Saturday 10 October

Prosperity. What counts as enough.

Wealth can be built alone. Built together, it makes more for everyone.

Saturday 10 October

On your computer

The main stage, one speaker, and your questions beside them.

The talk fills the window. Everyone can watch the spotlight stream. Inside the ticketed summit, the rail on the right is where the room talks back: questions, upvotes, one poll at a time, and a box for yours.

Four formats

Every session takes questions from the room.

Panel

Four people who disagree, and a moderator.

Debate

Two sides, one moderator, one question worth arguing.

Interview

One person, one interviewer, time to go deep.

Keynote

One person, then questions from the room.

Where the room reaches

Online, wherever you are.

As tickets are bought, one light per region grows. Every light is tied home to Alberta, where the week is run from.

The participant covenant

Come to be challenged, not converted.

Disagreement is welcome. Bring curiosity, speak plainly and challenge ideas without humiliating people. Speakers speak for themselves, not for In+ter.

Accountability stays in the room. Openness does not excuse harassment, deception, coercion, hate or dehumanisation. We will not tell you how to vote. In+ter is not a party, a campaign or a candidate.

Make something practical. Leave with people you can call, ideas you can test and one thing you can begin where you live.
