Who runs this, and how.
In+ter is an ongoing conversation network, begun with an online Summit in October 2026. Seven named organisers bring people with different views into moderated conversations and practical work between gatherings.
Why we began
The Alberta context at our beginning.
In+ter began in Alberta while people across the province were considering fundamental questions about their political future.
For us, sovereignty raises practical questions: who holds power, how responsibilities should be shared, how communities govern themselves, and what we owe one another. Provincial sovereignty, Indigenous sovereignty, treaty relationships, and individual self-determination are distinct questions, even where they intersect.
We invite people from Alberta and elsewhere to compare experiences, test assumptions, and ask better questions.
Dated referendum context
Alberta's 19 October 2026 referendum included questions about the province's future. This context helped shape our first conversations. It does not define In+ter's ongoing work.

Our role: In+ter takes no position on a referendum question. We bring different perspectives into public conversation so people can examine issues and reach their own conclusions.

We bring speakers and ideas across the five pillars into one programme. More sessions are being added. We do not sell speaking slots.

In the FAQ, written before we needed them.
Why
Partners have no influence over the speakers or the moderation. Writing the rules first means nobody is judged against a rule invented for them, a declined entry is told which rule applied, and the organisers are accountable to the same published standards. The rules, in the FAQ.
If we get something wrong
Tell us, and we will fix it.
